Hi All,
Please could everyone change the DST option to No on your modify profile settings, or the time on your postings will be an hour out.

Hi Phil,
I've noticed the forum reports different times for messages posted depending on whether I'm logged in or not. I placed a small log in today's LPL movements section at 1509/3.09 pm. If I log into the forum this shows a correct time, but if I visit the forum without logging in it then presents the time of my report as 4.09 pm. It is only 3.20 pm now! This is very confusing.
Cheers,Keith

TO CHANGE FORUM TIME CLOCK
Click over own username, this access 'Your Profile' page
On the 'Your Profile' page, on the top line, select and click on 'Modify Profile'
On the page of 'Profile Options', scroll right down to the final box
Using the 'drop down' menu, change 'Time Zone' from '+1 Central European Time' to 'GMT +0 Greenwich Mean Time' and DST box to 'No'
At the very bottom of the page, click over 'Modify Profile'
Return to home page and check that forum time and real time agree!
Well done You are now a friend of G-PHIL.

Thanks Viscount but I already checked those profile settings. They are as you suggest. The difference in report timings depends on whether or not I am logged in. Pick a posting at random and check it both ways. I'm still confused!

I have just been into the general settings section of my admin board and set the clock there to GMT (it was GMT+1). This should now make the clock the same whether you are logged in or not. I've checked it and it has worked for me anyway. I don't know if it changes times of existing posts when viewed not logged in, but the clock is the same for me now whether I'm logged in or not.
I think the thing is that Pro-boards want people to log in for the full benefits!
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,hi all,
This is just a test message to see if the timing discrepancy has been resolved. Time now 1043.
Yes,I've checked it from both logged in and logged out perspective and the forum clock shows the message timed correctly.
Thanks to everyone who pointed out the problem, and to Dave for fixing it!
Cheers,Keith
