Plus Group add value to just about any organisation regardless of what it is. In this particular instance they are adding perceived value to airline tickets with the added bonus of through travel from the airport to city centres by bus. Wizzair have been doing it from Liverpool for some time now but new to Ryanair from this week.
It's simply a pre-purchased ticket that allows their passengers to travel from LJLA to the City Centre on Arriva's services 500 and 86A (all others excluded) 86A being included as the 500 stops running in the early evening but that does not bar people from the 86A regardless of time of day or time printed on the ticket.
Not sure where Ryanair got the slogan 'Low Cost Bus Travel' from as they charge 4 Euros, which comes to about £3.40 whereas the fare on the 500 is £3.10 and 86A lower still. Having said that pre-payment does have built in convenience value which some may find worthwhile paying extra for.
