Wizz Air flights to Katowice reduce to two flights a week from 17th September. The route will not be flown this winter with the last flight on 27th October.
The Gdansk flight will be reduced to just two flights a week with the dropping of the Thursday flight for the winter, except around Christmas.
The Warsaw keeps three flights a week, more than last year, for the winter, despite Ryanair starting flying the route.
Similarly, Ryanair have not forced Wizz off the Vilnius route, but the days have been changed to Wednesday and Sunday.
All Wizz Air flights to Liverpool this winter will operate in the evening.

From the 24th October Wizz Air is launching a new cabin baggage policy across its entire network* to encourage passengers to bring smaller baggage onboard and make the boarding process smoother and faster. It could cost you 10 euro if it is too big. wizzair.com/en-GB/useful_information/baggage

It's a shame Wizz couldn't of made the times a little more in line with the KTW flight from MAN? The afternoon flight that they use to have from LPL was ideal but I use the MAN flight as landing at 1am does nothing for me at all.

Great news about the new contract at LJLA - let us hope that when the economy improves we see more of the destinations that Wizz fly to, available from Liverpool including: Basel, Brussels Charleroi, Cologne, Girona, Hamburg, Heraklion, Milan, Prague, Rome, Split, Stockholm, Valencia, Venice, Verona, or Zakynthos

From the Sheffied Star Newspaper:-
Even if they mean 750,000 pax from Liverpool over 2 years that would be 375,000 pax each year. At the moment I think Wizz Air Carry just about 130,000 pax through Liverpool. so hopefully, some increased frequencies and new routes to come!
Daniel de Carvalho, corporate communications manager at Wizz Air, said: "We've been approached by Manchester but we're very focused on working with Liverpool and Doncaster. We may increase frequencies and routes and we're also looking to increase our presence in London - in Luton we're the second airline."
He added: "Over the next couple of years we're aiming to fly 750,000 people from Liverpool and 1.3 million from Doncaster."

Wizz Air are transferring their entire Warsaw operation from Warsaw Modlin to Warsaw Frederyk Chopin Airport until 6th January as a result of continuing problems at Modlin caused by the lack of an ILS system. Many Wizz Air flights, in recent months, have had to divert away from Modlin due to bad weather and poor visibility. Wizz Air felt it could not compromise it's Christmas/New Year flying programme from and to Warsaw.
However, since that announcement, it has been announced today that Warsaw Modlin Airport has been closed completely until the new year due to cracks appearing in the runway.
Wizz Air are reported, in the local Polish press, to be trying to do a deal to transfer services back to Warsaw Frederyk Chopin Airport permanently.
