let me guess--Liverpoool <echo is now printed and based where? Liverpool Echo (and the Post) are still edited and produced in the city, at Old Hall Street. They are merely printed in Oldham.

Then despite being printed in Gr Manchester they have no excuse for ignoring the airport news or getting it wrong.
should that ever happen.

Excellent and thought provoking facts as ever LPL.Thanks again. Tell me --have Easy switched the successful Gibralta route to Mcr after the fiasco of transfering the Malta route--if so when will Ryanair be moving in? It will be fun to see just how well the Malta route does and wether the management at Easy take note of the error of judgement shown by their managemant team--allegedly.

Many thanks for the time you have taken to look and comment on the above, it certainly makes a difference to know people are reading and interested. Regarding GIB, it looks likely that EZY will only fly there from Gatwick. Its strange that they have taken out the LPL/GIB route given the high loads and the fact, as reported at a meeting I attended, that the route was expressly 'requested' by private banks based in Liverpool.

I think EZY scored an own goal leaving the Malta route and i am sure FR were well aware of its popularity and that is why they have jumped onto it so quickly, time will tell

The 2012 stats are not published as yet.

When will either Easyjet or Ryanair take up a route to Cologne or Dusseldorf I used the Cologne route with Easyjet several times when it operated. Whenever I flew this route there were only ever a handful of seats not occupied. Unfortunately I'm now forced to use Flybe or German wings from Manchester. Here's hoping 2013 will see the introduction of one of these routes from Liverpool I'm sure it would gain a 75% load factor. Regards Les Mcs

Pity we don't have a hotline to Air Berlin--now that WOULD be a coup for the management team .

Air Berlin would be good. They don't seem to be having a good time of late in the UK. Moved most of their STN ops to LGW and have since pulled them. Used to serve quite a few routes to various UK airports, but I think the only Air Berlin presence now is a handful of STN flights and the BHX military charters. Shame really, quite a good airline.
