It shows what we are up against trying to get pax in from outside of the area. I go to Malaga several times a year. On 21 Aug easyJet return (4 Sept - 13th Sept) was £166.98, Monarch was £ 333.98 - on the same day! Today (26th) easyJet is £172.98 but Monarch is £448.98! People are obviously choosing to pay rip off fares to go from Man or the prices would not have risen so much. Surely we should be making more of this disparity. I think pax travelling from further afield think Liverpool is probably far further from Man than it is. Coming from North or South there is not that much difference, especially if you are saving £200. Marketing - Airport & the Airlines - take advantage.

If correct would that mean a reduction of 2 aircraft compared to Summer 2012?

If correct would that mean a reduction of 2 aircraft compared to Summer 2012? Yes, 2*320 and 5*319.

Alicante, Faro and Malaga all down to Once Daily, even at weekends.
Nice down to 8 Weekly
Geneva no longer operates a W rotation into Manchester
One less flight a day to Belfast International (Although seems to be increased on Sunday!)
Brussels, Gibraltar, Malta and Tallinn dropped.
Approx 6 Flights a Day dropped which I guess equals 2 aircraft. A further loss of about 500,00 passengers for 2013. Fasten those seat belts for another bumpy year!

It must be remembered that these schedules only go as far as mid June so far.
The Nice route flew this summer and last summer with 8 flights per week and if the GVA schedule no longer operates a flight in/out of MAN then thats of benefit to LPL as its back earlier to fly a return from here.

Frequencies will remain the same beyond June. although there will be some tweeks to Amsterdam, Belfast and Isle of Man to allow the introduction of Bordeaux, Ibiza and Mahon in the peak season.
Berlin is not on sale yet as the airport problem has to be sorted out but I believe this maybe operated by a Berlin based aircraft.
Also, forgot to mention that one weekly flight has been reduced to both Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
Paris CdG has been re-timed to late afternoon (Saturday still a.m) which will mean that any pax going to Disneyland Paris will not have missed the last coach/or train from CdG as they do now (except Saturday)!

Also, forgot to mention that one weekly flight has been reduced to both Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. Are those two flights as a result of the new 'couple of the longer type routes' mentioned on another forum?

Good article in The Times on Sunday today about a more formal arrangement between Thomas Cook and easyJet. Should help to better plug the gap in the I/T Market from Liverpool.
