Amsterdam cancellations today. Further to my comments on daily movements thread. While all LPL's flights were cancelled today, only two out of twelve have been cancelled from MCR, as far as I can see from FR24 list. LPL's flights are therefore expendable. No conspiracy theory implied.

And of those twelve, Dalten, how many are operated by airlines common to both Liverpool and Manchester?

Have you taken into account the severe weather conditions prevailing today? Maybe MCR had better conditions than LJLA. Just a thought.

On reflection, I assume the flights were cancelled based on crosswind forecast. But why only some flights. Why were all flights not cancelled as they are subject to the same Wx conditions. Can only take it they could switch, determined to fly, pax to MCR flights.

Guys you have to take into account the crew can do 6 sectors in one day, if any of them are delayed they will have to reshuffle the programme around and cancel sectors due to crew availability. Any operations team wouldn’t go cancel a flight because it’s a Liverpool sector

What I was implying was that the flights were cancelled before the weather happened. All EasyJet flights had the same forecast.

The 1345 AMS flight was cancelled around 10am yesterday well into the storm.

If FR24 is correct there are 10 early morning departures on Friday between 0600 and 0730 including one to Naples which is usually only a summer service. Just checked on easyJet.com and Naples is starting early this year at 2 per week.

A glitch as there are 8 based aircraft? Looks like the two imposters are Faro and Alicante.
