Firstly to tie-up a lose end - the other Seaking which overshot on Monday 10th has been identified as ZA312 coded E. All 3 are at Aldergrove presumably in connection with the forthcoming G8 conference.
On to today and a bit more interesting was the Beech 200 "Vickers 02" which made an approach and go-around on runway 26 at 1002 - revealing it to be the recently Manx-registered M-CDFY. It them made another approach and go-around on runway 08 at 1022 but this time remained above the (very !) low cloud. About an hour later there was an unidentified Hawk go-around.

Its not often that a weekend is busier than a weekday, but today is the exception.
Calibration Beech 200 G-FPLD arrived this morning to carry out some long-range (60 mile) calibration work but cut this short and is now parked at EAM.
"Westlux 902", in the shape of ATP LX-WAE, arrived this morning, presumably as the next customer for maintenance, but is presently parked on the north apron, next to G-BUUP - possibly this is because the Saab 2000 is inside EAM, whilst Global 5000 G-ISAN is outside - its first airing since being registered as such (from M-IGWT).
Meanwhile over at Area V are no fewer than 3 aircraft:- TBM700 N700EL, Cessna FR172J F-BVBN and EC135 G-CGPI

And also today (Saturday) at 1145 three RAF Merlin HC.2 helicopters went westbound across the centre of the Island in loose formation, lowish. Against the sun, and with no time to grab the camera.
Presumably another three participants at the G8 summit.
When the summit finishes we now know to look out for 6 x Blackhawks; 3 x Commando Sea Kings; and 3 x RAF Merlins on their return trips.

I thought it would have been really cool if the Blackhawks had had loud speakers fitted blasting the Ride of the Valkyries as they flew to the G8

It would be cool enough if the Blackhawks transit over the IOM on the way back - with or without the music Biggles !
After the Seakings and Merlins today seems to be Agusta 109 day with at least 4 heard so far in or near the IOM zone en-route Belfast :- G-IOOZ, G-EMHC (straight over the field) G-OFTC and a G..RG or NG.
Meanwhile "Bavarian 777" Falcon 2000EX D-BIKA paid a short visit to PJC before departing across the Atlantic - with a reg like that I'm tempted to say it's a week late ?

Acklington 'When the summit finishes we now know to look out for 6 x Blackhawks; 3 x Commando Sea Kings; and 3 x RAF Merlins on their return trips.'
You can add a further two RAF Merlins - yesterday at around 4pm I was heading south from Douglas when I eye spied two choppers transiting westward over the south of the island at approx 800-1000 ft msl - a quick pullover on Santon straight and the use of my canon hs50 confirmed them as a pair of merlins.

Although it's unlikely we will se it returning, passing over the IOM at 2345 last night was Russia State Transport Tupolev TU-214 RA64521 as "STATEAIR031" descending into Belfast for the Summit.

Down to earth again today - just PA34-220T D-GOST parked at Rendezvous (ex Manx Flyers) with EC135 G-CGPI still on V.

Absolutely nothing to report so far today - but I forgot yesterday that "the optimists" are back working on the Metro again !

The only other movement today was Netjets Cessna 560XLS CS-DXQ arriving just before 1600, to PJC. Global Express G-ISAN remains outside EAM, presumably because ATP LX-WAE has taken it's place, or did SE-MAL depart??. Easyjets: EZY853/4 Gatwick G-EZDF EZY637/8 Liverpool G-EZBW (The first Easyjet flight to the IOM was operated by this airframe!)

Thanks for the heads up Hawker, really appreciated. There was a Flybe Embraer 195 operating this mornings Birmingham flight. Unfortunately I was unable to ID it. However, thanks to the Flightradar.com database it came up as G-FBEH (Which I needed!)

EI-MED duly arrived as "Exclusivejet 999" and stopped briefly at PJC before departing to Liverpool. PH-FIS stayed longer, also at PJC and Cessna 172N EI-CFY parked on V.
Nextjet ATP SE-MAL was enjoying the sunshine outside EAM doing engine-runs, but was later surprisingly towed out to a remote park on the south side of the field.
Work continues on Metro EC-GPS, which is now minus its props - by 1530 it was deserted but with all the doors open !
Loganair used Do328 G-BWIR for (I believe ?) the first time and "White Knight 03" DA42 G-ZDEA arrived about 1530 for fuel (and relief?) after doing several hours survey work over the Irish Sea.
