The other day I mentioned just how 'tatty' and faded the colours on G-EZAA looks. Is it simply an older aircraft that has yet to revisit the paint shops, or is it one of the new coatings currently being trialled, that clearly has not stood up well to ultra-violet light at altitude? The next two try and show G-EZAA and G-EZII in the same position relative to the sun, a few minutes apart, just to show it is not an effect produced by todays rare strong sunshine at ground level! I am suffering camera focus problems, due to accidently knocking the lens switch from Auto to Manual on a irregular basis, but as a bi-focal wearer, am so used to looking a slightly off-focus viewfinder image don't detect the problem until later once I'm home. Rarely ever put more than two shots of the same aircraft on the forum, however I'm going to break this this rule for this delightful resident that aviates rarely. Due to a problem the flight was restricted to a brief circuit. Miles Gemini G-AKKB. Although I took a number of images of resident light aircraft while waiting for the Merlin that never turned up, last shot is one for Phil, suspect this is a fledgling Wheatear - I'm sure I will get to know rather quickly if I have it wrong!

I need to stick to aircraft recognition!
Phil, thanks for the correction.

Viscount:
When I was up close to a lot of the easyJet aircraft on a regular basis, I noticed that the Belfast -based aircraft were the tattiest - is G-EZAA Belfast-based? I remarked on this to the flight deck on a number of occasions and they said that they regularly got the oldest aircraft and they joked that they worked harder than the rest of the fleet! Noticeably, the Luton-based aircraft were invariably newer and cleaner, so I think your point is a valid one.

When I worked at LGW, we had the new ones delivered straight from XFW to us......they normally sat in cargo for one night, then they were in service, so I did manage to get some pics of them when they had "delivery mileage only" on the clock!!!!!
John :-)
