Can anyone help with info on this model? It belongs to my brother and was made in Holland and is resin. No props. Whose colours are they? Any idea of value? TIA Ray

A look through my 1979 Air Britain Fokker F-27 Production History monograph (amazing what I have lurking on my bookshelf) has b&w photographs of all the early F-27 operators. A photo of F-27-600 TY-AAG of Air Benin matches well the tail boomerang and flag, cheat line width & style and the nose circle - however due to glare the logo inside the circle on the b&w shot is not clear. No airline titles worn. Air Benin was based at Cotonou, Benin. When I am anywhere near my copier I'll eventually post the picture here so you can compare, but it will be next week or beyond.
There were 2 Friendships registered in Benin: c/no.10409 TY-AAG ntu, TY-ATM ntu, TY-BBI and c/no.10413 TY-ATM ntu, TY-BBJ. They were both originally ordered by the Benin Air Force, but entered service with Air Benin - delivered 6.78 and 10.78. They left Benin during 1980 and 1981. This likely puts a date on your model of summer 1978. This was a Farnborough year - given the obscure customer colours, I wonder if the model was once a display piece showing recent customers at the SBAC Show in September.? However, this is pure speculation on my part! It does look to be a well constructed professional model - however given the obscure airline colours, unlikely to have been for a travel agency display. You may find more on a Google using Air Benin, TY-BBI and TY-BBJ as seach words.
I have no idea as to the value of the resin model, but doubt that the little known African airline colour scheme adds to the value. Looks a nice well built model though. Over to others.
