There was a piece in the business news of the Echo on Thursday saying that of 3 new routes Blue Air announced from Bucharest Liverpool was the best seller so far (one was Turin can't recall he other), that its a 5 year agreement but already the Romanian consul hopes its for life and would rather have 3 flights a day not week.

Was just about to post this too, you beat me to it! Had a read of the article this evening - hopefully a good sign that the route will get off to a positive start! With it being a 5 year agreement - really hope there is a chance that other routes might be in the pipeline in the future.

Blue Air are said to have agreed to set up a base at Turin shortly, could we get a service to there for the winter holiday niche?

Great news from Blue air, this is one that Manchester missed out on,I notice they also have bus/car transfers to Costanta, and Brasov(famous for the so called Dracular,s castle) Now hopefully there are other niche airlines out there to come also.

On the surface sounds good news. However it may be the pessimist in me but the timing and days of operation are hardly much use for leisure weekends or such like. Or could it be that the pilots are in fact "creatures of the night" and cannot fly in daylight hours. Just make sure you pack a stake if you book on this one
