I see that Blue Air have now announced Bucharest to Milan Linate to its Italian portfolio. Now that could be a good route for them from LPL.

Would be great if they set up a base in LPL, EZY and FR are seemingly more interested in MAN of late.

Just been listening back to Monday's breakfast show on BBC Radio Merseyside - they had an interview with the airport's, Andrew Cornish and someone from Blue Air regarding the airline's first flight to Bucharest. Andrew Cornish mentioned that the flights are pretty much full until the end of January and that the airport have a great relationship with Blue Air. The man from Blue Air said they chose Liverpool because of the team at the airport and mentioned that the Liverpool flights are averaging the same as their already established routes. The link to the interview is below and it starts around 1 hour 26mins. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02cz5y2

Just returned from Bucharest. Blue Air just the same as any other low cost airline, but check in was novel. Outward bound flight on Monday was disappointing passenger wise, but returning home today the flight was 100 per cent full. Not one empty seat. Cant be bad for a recently started route. (If anyone wishes to try Bucharest, I think it must be the cheapest capital city in Europe).

Let's hope the route is a success, and that if the airport decides on the traditional water cannon salute it goes more smoothly than MAN's recent blooper with Virgin...

Doubt if its done at night, but you never know, personally I have never agreed with this water cannon thing over aircraft, and its about time it stopped,I have heard of captains in various airlines that have refused to taxi under the cannons at airports,in case of aircraft damage,or contamination, anyway good luck to Blueair on this route.

G-PHIL; I am not sure your comment strikes a reasonable balance, they will all travel home, to and fro, just as the Irish and many others do and have done.
