Whilst in Japan I had a day in a small town called Yonago in the middle of nowhere. The reason for this was that the local transport base was holding their annual open house, with a number of exciting visitors, as well as a small air display. Unfortunately, the low cloud base cancelled almost all of the flying, but the Coastguard flew an amazing AW139 display and the static departures and base museum made it worthwhile visiting.
