Not this year, it is rumored that the 2 Lancaster's have requested to make a flyby and fly up the river past the city on Saturday, but we will have to wait and see if this happens.

What a shame, is it for operational reasons or cost that Liverpool isn't being used, or just the aircraft operators choosing elsewhere. Lets hope the Lancasters give us something then

Lets hope the Lancasters give us something then Sorry to have to tell you, that despite strong lobying from myself and ATC at LJLA, (and Hawarden) over the last week, the final descision from the 'Chief Lancaster Ops Controller' is that the Lancasters will not be able to oblige with an overfly at LJLA and over the Mersey tomorrow (Sat) - much as they would have liked! Here's hoping they provide memorable displays at Southport. I'm sure they will!

'Blueline 56' - totally agree regarding predictive text and auto (miss)correction.
There are two ways of checking/amending posts.
First, if you reply by using the red 'Reply' you will get a number of format options, look below the 'text' box for an option to "Preview". Click on that and check, then amend your post, then 'Post reply'.
Alternatively, use 'Post Quick Reply', examine your post, then use 'Edit' - top right of the text box to re-enter your message and make the correction, and 'save changes'.

A small selection from sat weather not very good at all. Judging by the pipe in the 9th shot, I'd say you where very close to where I was on the beach! I agree about the weather, it wasn't the best at all

That was the closest thing to an accident at an airshow I've ever seen during the Jet Provost display. The aircraft flew toward the crowd and pulled up very very late, pilot immediately aborted display. Commentators speculated that the meteorological conditions were to blame for the abort but I suspect it was a case of walking off before being given the red card. Jet Provost departed high to the south, I suspect the pilot was suffering severe jelly legs!
Regards,
Garry

I found it very strange that the only aircraft from the air show to fly close to the runway at Liverpool was the catalina the vulcan was on it's way after the display but changed it's mind. I am begining to think that the airport had a keep away policy or the air show organisers have cottoned on to the ever increasing crowds at the end of the runway getting a free show so to speak
