A little research would suggest this is the mortal remains of 733 I-AIGM c/n 24299.Scrapped at Bruntingthorpe.

This has been tried time and time again but I've never heard of one being successful. Perhaps someone could point me in the direction of one that has. As a guide, it would have to be one that has been run on a commercial basis, that has been trading for four or more years, and with the fuselage being the main dining area or source of income.

Try the DC-6 at Coventry?
or how about the Constellation at Luqa, Malta before it fell into disuse after a fire.
or how about the Viking somewhere in Germany for very many years.
Abandoned attempts include a Comet at Pomona Dock, Manchester Ship Canal
... just a few 'off the top of my head', late at night!

Looks like its got a green light from planning. This also taken from Bolton News
3:39pm
It's been approved. Watch out for a plane landing in Deane Road in the near future.
3:38pm
We've gone slightly off piste - Cllr Peel saying he think it would be a good idea if staff dressed up air stewards. Also hearing requests to make sure it's securely fixed to the ground... In case it flies away in high winds!
3:35pm
Cllr Critchley is "really upset" about the appearance. Wants to keep the nose of the aeroplane, because otherwise it looks "naked". Apparently.
3:34pm
Cllr Allen wants to know how it is going to be maintained, agent is promising they have an engineer who will be able to fix it
3:32pm
Agent speaking behalf of the applicant now. He said their design in innovative and unusual, and they hope it will regenerate the Deane Road area and bring people from all over Bolton.
3:28pm
It's not in keeping with the council's design strategy - but it is a novel idea, the council's planning officer has said. This one got a positive responses from Bolton News readers on our story - I'm personally a fan!
3:27pm
Now time for the "most unusual" application to ever come to committee - replace a double decker bus in Deane Road with part of a plane

Unfortunately, the Constellation at Luqa was out of use when I visited it in 1987, although the steps were still there but rotting away. That's not to say that it wasn't recommissioned prior to the fire. Here's an interesting one I didn't know about DC6 G-SIXC at Coventry. Is this still going strong? Sorry Viscount, just re-read your posting, must get myself a set of reading glasses www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1385115/Chef-transforms-grounded-transatlantic-plane-la-carte-restaurant.htmlFrom an enthusiasts point of view I will look forward to seeing the 737 in place but can't help thinking it's going to cost the owners dear. Hope I'm wrong but only time will tell.

Full scale concorde replica has been used as a restaurant at Hermeskeil in Germany for many years. I saw it in 1987 and as far as I am aware it is still going strong.

They went with an ex Yamal frame, no visible serial when I visited but thought to be either VP-BRQ or VP-BRS. Looked very smart, looking forward to seeing it in operation! Cheers Gary
