I read or heard, a few weeks back, some kind of ban or restriction on taking devices through security. EG ipad, ipod, Kindle and the like.
Can anybody remind me of this subject, if it is real or not, and if so exactly what does it mean. Wanting to take said devices on up coming long haul voyages.
Thanks

No ban just at some airports you need them to be charged and show they work if they ask at security and or the gate. Plus I'd check on the airport website they'll tell you.

Ron I flew recently within UK with FLybe and they checked my mobile, camera and even my watch. There was no problem having been checked. So I would guess providing things are charged and can be shown to function as they should it is fine.

I had to take my camera and lenses out of my bag before the security scan at MAN a few weeks ago, this was a "first", it's normally just the laptop. Didn't have to power anything up though.
