Can anyone confirm what I think was a Nord 3400 flying East -to west down the R Dee valley from Llangollen to Bala via Corwen at about 1100 today. It was light grey and had French vertical stripes on the rudder .I saw it about 1/2 mile away and there were some letters/numbers on the port fuselage but I couldn't make them out.It seems(unless it was a visiting French registered a/c ) that it could be G-BOSJ which I think is the only UK registered example at present. Any ideas folks?

I think that a likely candidate for your sighting could well be Cessna Birdog G-JDOG which has recently changed paint schemes to French markings.I hope that this helps. newpin

It won't be G-BOSJ as the a/c does not have a current C of A, in fact appears to never have had one. Check on G-INFO.

Just had a look at a picture of G-JDOG. Nice scheme.

I think what threw me was the dorsal fin fillet painted white. As I saw the a/c against a white sky background it seemed as though here was a bit missing. It seemed so angular at first, momentarily,it could have been an Auster AOP9.I should have known better as I have actually flown in one of them.Next stop,Specsavers.
