Hi. Brilliant. How much was the visit Norway ticket? 3990 NOK,which was billed to me on my debit card £383.00.you get an account set up,with a user name and password, and you then gain excess to the WF reservations system and the flights that are available on this fare then show, including connections,as with all tickets try to book as early as possible, but even in August most flights I was interested in were available,or there was another routing on offer, the main restriction with this ticket is its only available from the end of june to the end of august, really when most business people in Norway take their summer break, also you are allowed an international flight at the beginning and end,but you have to start and finish in the same place,I flew from Dusseldorf to Copenhagen to join the flights,as I was in Germany at the time, but returned to the UK,from Stavanger at my own expense, but ABZ and NCL are included in the deal from the UK,we need the LPL airport management to convince Wideroe its a good idea to turn these charters from Stavanger in a schedule, especially with the Norwegian service between Stavanger and Manchester finishing soon, lets hope for that, and hope this is of help, let me know if you require any more info on Wideroe or Norway. Calflier.

Brilliant photos and report... A well researched trip......just hope you didn't go bust with the price of the local beer and wine ! ( I was in Oslo in July and paying about £10 for a very average pint !)

Brilliant photos and report... A well researched trip......just hope you didn't go bust with the price of the local beer and wine ! ( I was in Oslo in July and paying about £10 for a very average pint !) There is a network of high class soup kitchens in Norway!,no seriously,it is expensive,I have been to Norway a few times before and even as far as Svalbard(which is twice as expensive again)I would say everything is twice as expensive as we pay here, for example,a subway meal, say here £4.99 in Norway £10/11,I did my training for Norway by spending some time in London, got me use to high prices.but there nothing out there that compares to Norway, maybe Switzerland, and thats expensive too,you cant win!

Just as a link to this report, the recent Wideroe charter from Stavanger to LPL,using a Q400.took just over two hours on the route and was fully sold both ways, this demonstrates how this aircraft could turn the fortunes of our airport with the various operators around Europe.
