RAF VALLEY Wednesday 13th January 2016 (0855-1115) A brief calmer, if cold, but certainly dry, fine morning while on a wet and stormy Anglesey for a week, gave me the chance to call-in at RAF Valley to see the Cardiff schedule depart, then watch the activity for a little over two hours. Rewarded by an overshoot by a Typhoon, arrival circuits by a pair of Hawk T.1s from RAF Leeming and a number of resident Hawk T.2s active. WV396/91 H. Earlier in the week on Saturday afternoon watched a red HEMS Eurocopter EC.135 circling and then landing on land near Rhoscolyn, then on Sunday afternoon watched, presumably the same Caernarfon based machine, overfly en route towards Holyhead. On Monday at around 1530ish a Tornado on go-around at RAF Valley.

I think that there is only one AW139, which is ZR283. It is the only one that comes over to the IOM for circuits.
