HB-JOT must be a glitch. There is just HB-JOG and HB-JOH to pick from, nowadays both flying in proper Germania colours. The lists provided from BSL contain just about anything we regard as somehow reliably confirmed through tour operators, handling agents, airport authority and slot coordinator. Nevertheless, the lists keep changing every few hours and just now a handful of "new" flights from Sevilla have arrived on my desk. Reg. numbers are mostly coming from handling requests and are obviously to be seen with a certain caution, keeping in mind what could happen to the respective aircraft in the time leading up to the matchday. Overall, we are all looking forward to seeing these aircraft in Basel and for once also to cheer LFC to victory in Basel ... JOEL

Just wondering if any of the enthusiasts and spotters at Basle are complaining that one of the charters from Liverpool is going to Strasbourg!

We would obviously prefer to have them all in Basel, but then again, the airport will run out of space at some stage (word is that they were not happy about the four Wamos 747 slot requests), so we'll have to give some aircraft to our friends down the river in Strasbourg. SXB is a quiet enough place (occasional EU meetings apart), so they'll be as happy as they can get if something comes their way ... JOEL

Does any one know if there will be confirmed times for the arrival of XL Airways France A330-300 a day before or on the day or will it just be know when it actually takes off and fly's to LPL?

The XLF A333 is bound to arrive in Paris from Cancun at 1640 local time on the day before the match. So the ferry flight could happen either the day before or on the matchday. Remains to be seen.
Further charters from LPL to BSL have been listed today, including a Volotea B717-200, a JOTA Aviation RJ85 and a Titan Airways A320.
Cheers

If I could speculate for a moment, regarding the A330. Arrives in Paris 16:40 local time. Turnaround would likely take around an hour so they could have it back in the air by around 18:30 local time, flight would take an hour so if it was to happen i'd estimate we'd see it around 18:00 UK time

Are the times quoted on the swiss website bsl-mlh-planes.net local or utc?

So the first flight out of Liverpool on Wednesday morning, VOE5006 Boeing 717 should depart @ 5:05am local time to make its 8:05 arrival at Basel. So it will be an early start for the photographers.

Early weather forecast for Wednesday is for rain showers but the wind is forecast to be from the west so 27 should be in operation.
