Hi The Unmarked 125 in the hanger is 5N-JMA No sight of of 5N-QTS in any of the big hangers at all ..Cant see it being in a small new hangers down the side.. JMA has been a Court case over its vanishing owner{Long gone.many years now} for debts.. Will end up in a skip ..There is however a hanger in use as a store ,used by HAS ,on the Airbus side which has at 2 x Russians in Baby mig and a small biplane thing.. What else G-LARK appears to be the only newish resident The June 17th list is spot on based G-GARE is of course new here.. As is the unmarked JP5 in HAS is G-BWEB alias XW422 coded 3. cdh

ooh - that's put the cat amongst the pigeons cdh - I think everyone has been working on the thought that QTS was the 125 left behind.
Especially since both JMA and QTS have been reported as WFU in various publications. JMA was/is owned by Arik Air who are still around AFAIK
Can anyone 100% positively confirm the situation?

I thought Arik Air had gone bankrupt and had been taken over by the Nigerian Govt as "too important to fail". (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/38929910). They have stopped their flights to LHR as well as I think all their long haul flights, they only operate regionally to a few destinations in Nigeria and a couple of other African countries. Their 2 A330's are reported as stored in France.

Work took me onto the Airbus site and with a delivery to both Marshalls and Raytheon looking good to try and get inside hangers 1st stop was Marshalls, goods in was at the side and all doors closed looking into the hanger, so a polite request to use the toilet resulted trip inside the hanger 7 aircraft present only 2 were wearing the Reg. Inside Marshalls from rear to front of hanger (Raytheon to railway line) 1 unknown Bae125 no reg looks to be getting ready for a fresh coat of paint furthest one to back of hanger left side2 M-HNDA Honda Jet next to the above 3 Hawker 400 Blue/White tail opposite M-HNDA right hand side of hanger 4 N3217G Hawker 900 next to M-HNDA 5 NetJet left hand side nose pointing towards hanger door 6 NetJet Right hand side nose pointing towards hanger door 7 Bae125 right hand side next to hanger door blue line looked liked the stored 5N-QTSSQ-380 This report from Feb 17 suggests maybe both 5N-JMA (perhaps item 1) and 5N-QTS (item 7) were around at that point. 5N-QTS was photographed fully painted but with no registration on 17 March 2017 by Beemer. JD Thanks

Went on the Airside Tour today This An-2 was noted after reading it had left CCCP-19731 Antonov An-2R (YL-LEU) No sign of this as I believe it is now in Zurich as YL-LEV CCCP-07268 Antonov An-2R (YL-LEV) No sign of this Baby mig, but might of missed it. YL-MIG 37 YellowAviatika MAI-890 Baby Mig 5N-JMA seen in first Hangar, as seen in these photos from Sept 2016. Thanks for the update Albert
Interestingly though the AN-2 in Switzerland registered YL-LEV has c/n 1G140-41 whereas the Hawarden AN-2 which originally had YL-LEV reserved was c/n 1G148-29

Fascinating pictures of the resident Russian aircraft. Does anyone know the full story about these aircraft, such as who bought them, when and with what intent? Where did they originate from? How many frames have moved on, and if so, where? It must have cost a pretty package to ship them all over, so I presume there must have been some intent on selling them on. If so, are they, or have they been, actively marketed? I wonder if they are accruing storage fees? Lots of questions, and I hope lots of interesting and insightful answers.

The guide on the tour told me the owner was expecting and bought Albatros and got instead Anotonov An 2s which I presume was a shock and a surprise. Great Tour and very informative.

CCCP-56471 Antonov An-2R Stored (YL-LEW) CCCP-19731 Antonov An-2R Interesting that you noted CCCP-40749 as various reports have not recorded it - this is probably down to the way these frames are stored with some marks difficult to see under all the pigeon sh!t and location in the dark depths of the hangar. CCCP-40749 is reportedly c/n 1G172-21 with marks YL-LFD reserved so it's CCCP-54949 that's missing this time (last noted in a published log about a year ago) These aircraft arrived back around July 1994 so they've been there for over 23 years now. There were originally a few more fighters - I logged these on 5 Aug 94 71 MiG-27M Flogger 61912507006 04 Red MiG-23ML 024003607 23 RED MiG-27M Flogger 1980/83712515040 35 Red Sukhoi Su-17M-3 25102 50 Red MiG-23MF 1973/023003508 54 Red Sukhoi Su-17M-3 69004
