Gosh Jetdragon that brings back some memories, it was such a great day. Did the Vampire fly in or was it brought in by road ?

Great photos jetdragon, thanks for sharing them.
The immaculate Vampire was registered G-VMPR in the following year and flew from Swansea/Fairwood Common `til the early 2000s.She was one of the last ex RAF Vampires to fly and is in the USA now.She is on her second N-reg but I don`t know if she remains airworthy.
This wasn`t the only air show in the North West THAT WEEKEND!...............the two Harriers above had come from an event at Woodford. 1994 was in the golden era of Woodford shows with visiting fast-jet participation from Russia,Germany,France,Belgium,Netherlands,Switzerland and Canada.I don`t recall any US participation, unless they couldn`t find the field and displayed at Ringway...........they did have form!
Those were indeed the days.

The Vampire was owned by Jonathan Kerr at that time.Jonathan actually assembled the aircraft in one of the hangars at Sealand after he purchased it.The Vampire was then disassembled and transported to Swansea. newpin
