Taken from a post on Facebook, sorry if it's already been posted. Just a heads up to you all if you are using a free Flickr account. Within the next few days, their T&c's will change and the 1Gb of free space will finish. You will then be limited to 1,000 photos. If you have more then a 1,000 in your account, then X amount of photos will be deleted by Flickr until you have 1,000 left. So if you have anything of importance saved on there, make sure it's safe! Also the Flickr Pro account price (for unlimited storage) will be going up to around £48 - £50 per year I believe. inews.co.uk/news/technology/flickr-how-to-keep-deleted-photos-new-storage-rules/

I know it has been covered before but give some thought to what Phil has posted if you value your photographs. Beemer.

Just been onto my account on the site and got the message. Fortunately I don't have anything of any importance on there and tend to back up by other means. It would be interesting to see how the change affects the advertising revenues against the account fees as I sure that there will now be a drop in the people using the site and thus it will be less appealing to advertisers - only time will tell.

Up-dated.
As you are up-loading your photos a message is displayed telling you how many GB's of your allotted amount you have used.

If you are an Amazon Prime member you can get unlimited photo storage for free with amazon photos. Granted you have to pay for prime in the first place but you also get free delivery plus access to prime music and prime video as well. Oh and free books as my better half has pointed out 😊

Oh and free books as my better half has pointed out 😊 Have to agree there, no longer using flickr, uploading my images to Amazon for storage (as well as spare HD), currently uploading 2016 (240gb left to upload for that year) following years to follow, painfully slow due to wife complaining with - 'no iternet' whilst upload takes place, so she turns the 2nd PC on when she finally finishes her day - so automatic upload takes place overnight without any input from her, just the way the programme is configured, starts on startup. 250gb for 2016 is only keeping my original RAW files and jpg's made from them after deleting others not required, so 2017 and 2018 will probably be similar, I have been an Amazon Prime user for two years so no further cost involved from my part, also you get 5gb of non picture file storage as well, not sure about video as I don't use it.
