Well that one seems to have been announced without days of wild speculation on here ruining the surprise. Again an operator who will have initially to battle against the British traveller's general ignorance of any other than easyJet and Ryanair for short breaks on scheduled airlines. Hopefully there is enough advance notice to get specialist short break tour organisers on-board and actively promote short their city-break or winter alpine packages using Lauda Motion's Liverpool flights. Good route for the Airport, now they just need to get the word to enough people to make a success of it!

Lauda Motion is part of Ryanair, and flights can be booked on the Ryanair website.

Thank you 'Whittle' for information certainly that I was unware of, although perhaps should have known. Very interesting. For background and for information on fleet plans within the Ryanair Group: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laudamotionis worth look at.

Thanks to everyone for correcting my idiotic predictive text when typing badly. I meant Vienna.

Well I’ve just booked a weekend there in December. Not a bad price £75 return.

This is excellent news and with Ryanair calling the shots (75% ownership), has the advantage of being "exposed" to the general public more than it otherwise might have been. The one draw back I see is the possibility that this will be a very successful route and having tried it out, it will migrate to Manchester. Lets enjoy it while it lasts. Well done to all those concerned. I would love to know if this was an airport inspired event or if it is the result of an decision solely by Ryanair/Lauda.
