So i have just read that someone at Warrington has complained over 800 times about the Aircraft noise at LJLA thease people really need to get a life it reminds me of the guy near Manchester Airport who complained about the noise over 1,000 times, maybe they should move to Coningsby for a week then they would know what noise is

Anyone moving within 5 miles of an airport or under the arrival/departure flight paths show a total lack of forward thinking. They have however proberbly increased the value of their property above the national average due to increased jobs, therefore more people seeking property and those people wanting to move closer to the airport to reduce travel time to their flights. Simple answer, move.
I can only think of two uk airports who haven’t expanded commercial operations over the last 30yrs. Mansion (now closed) and Blackpool, where commercial flights were withdrawn.

Would be interesting to know if he uses fr24 or similar to confirm they are actually liverpool flights. I often visit one of our sons who lives on chapelford, and while you do get some turning over that area, they are pretty high and do not remotely make sufficient noise to be intrusive. Wonder if he goes on holiday by plane .??

Sure, anybody who parks himself near an airport deserves whatever noise he gets. On the other hand when an airport places itself near to an existing dwelling there is a right to complain However in the case of Liverpool you would have to have lived in your place since 1966 when the new runway arrived, to have an real complaint.
Every time I hear these stories I am reminded of problems we had at Oaksey Park in Wiltshire. A lovely country grass strip which started way back in the day when it was just a farm strip and over about 50 years gradually expanded to be what it is now: a lovely grass aerodrome with a few dozen movements a day, no training, no jets and no significant noise. Then a newbie came into the village, having bought a nice place not far from the Western end of the runway. He started a campaign for closure which went on for years and cost the owners and the users of the aerodrome quite some money. Finally he lost his case.
And who was this person? A Captain with British Airways indeed, and not only that; he thought nothing of getting up early in the morning to drive to Heathrow, blasting his Aston Martin through with villages with his twin exhausts on max volume.
I do have sympathy for people who suffer from aircraft noise but only if they are a real victim and not a manufactured one.

I think this is the person who has complained so much to the airport that he has been ignored by the noise committee as he was distorting the figures. What makes it more of a nuisance there were quite a lot of flights that were Manchester flights. He lives in Dunham on the Hill near Frodsham and if you look on a map he is in line with the Manchester runways, to Liverpool he is South of the center line by about 7 miles. This man must be lonely and have nothing else to do.

I think they must have some wider issues and the airport is currently bearing the brunt of it.

I can't imagine there is much noise realistically in frodsham. The M56 prob makes more noise. maybe he will be happier withNEOs!

Trust me we still have idiots complaining about aircraft noise at Blackpool - new housing development built on the old Pontins site at the end of runway 10/28

cant understand these complaints, living in penketh depending on runways used we get flyovers for both lpl and man, lpl restricted to 2000 ft, man always pass higher, only time you are really "disturbed" is by the early morning redeyes going into man,or the great sound of the emirates a380 ,but I am biased

To be honest the noise in Penketh is minimal. The Manchester inbounds are at 4,000 feet minimum and, to me, even the EK A380 causes no inconvenience. Liverpool inbounds also are relatively few on most days with some taking a shortcut directly over Widnes and others the longer circuit via central Warrington.
Probably the greatest noise generators are the Liverpool and Manchester outbound.
Well it will soon be time to go outdoors where I will be disturbed by my neighbours as they cut the grass with motor powered mowers, their dogs will bark and the primary school will even permit children to run around outside during their breaks screaming at the top of their sweet little voices. God forgive the fact that you might even be able to speak in the library!
Noise sometimes happens.....

Like us here. I an sit in my garden in a "village aeronautique", with the runway close by. Its really peaceful, except for the sound of motor cycles blasting through the country roads on a calm Sunday evening, and the tractors harvesting in fields at all hours of the day and night......

I too live on Chapelford. To be fair, very occasionally you will get a flight that you could call noise 'intrusive', however the last one was helos passing over the zone, not using the airport. After stating that, there is nowhere in Chapelford that is over about 10 years old. Now I might be wrong in this, but I think the airport was there slightly earlier, so if occasional noise disturbs them, why move there?
