Had a quick look here today, quick because of the "wintry downpour" weather! The Electra G-LOFB still lanquishes derelict on the far side; the DC-6 diner G-SIXA is still there, unused; and the British Eagle DC-6 G-APSA has been moved to outside the former West Atlantic hangar, with some signs of dismantling taking place, prior to its move by road to St.Athan. Only one ATP is now visible outside the former West Atlantic hangar, namely SE-LPU, looking not long for this world? SE-LPU, Coventry, 11 June 19 (2) w by Philip Pain, on Flickr Intially I thought that the other two ATPs had already been scrapped, but a gap in the hangar door showed both to be inside, namely SE-MHC and SE-MHJ (nearer) SE-MHJ, SE-MHC, Coventry, 11 June 19 (2) w by Philip Pain, on Flickr This confirms what I was told on the Isle of Man recently, that West Atlantic (IOM) were going to try to get them flyable and out of Coventry. There was little else of interest on the airfield, other than "L3" who seem to be majoring in Diamonds and Cherokees N429TS, Coventry, 11 June 19 w by Philip Pain, on Flickr N70806, Coventry, 11 June 19 cw by Philip Pain, on Flickr But I'm somewhat stumped by the reg on this Cherokee - part of the last letter /number(?) has come adrift in the June weather, and it just doesn't make sense, looking like neither a '6' or anything else I can think of. Any suggestions?
