Rescuers at sea at the SNSM station on the Ile de Ré carried out a unique rescue on Monday, July 1st, where they towed a microlight to the beach of La Cible in Saint-Martin-de-Ré.
At 12:30, they were triggered by the Cross Etel to rescue, not a boat, but a ULM accidentally down in the water off the Sables d'Olonne in Vendée, causing a very big shock to both passengers of the small plane. Safe and sound, these were taken care of by Vendée firefighters.
