Hi All
Trawling the net I came across a photo of Westland Scouts XR632 and (probably) XV126 plus at least 2 others in storage at Hawarden in November 1995. Does anyone have ID's for the others by any chance (or any further info around arrival and departure?)
Any help appreciated
thanks
JD

Off-line PM discussion between Spain and Australia, mostly using late 1995 paper NWAN magazines has uncovered the following:
The two Scouts mentioned above were sold at MoD auction 10th October 1995.
Seven Westland Scout AH.1s arrived at Hawarden by road from RNAY Fleetlands during October '95:
XR632 658 Sqdn badge XT632 658 Sqdn badge XT634/T XT644/Y XV121 XV126/X 666 Sqdn badge XW281/U 666 Sqdn badge, also 'Royal Marines' titles - having been displayed at the formation ceremony for 847 Sqdn (previously 3 CBAS)
All the helicopters are up sale and were stored in the Hawarden Air Services hangar.
The duplication of Scout serials in the XR and XT batches provided those spotting at the time considerable headaches - XR632 and XT632 are not a 'typo'.
...... investigation continues as to what became of these machines. If you happen to know it will save us eye-strain searching through the old mags to (hopefully) find out.
