Great news well to everyone involved. Question to be asked now is are their any other airlines that might consider changing airports?

Really good news!
A new airline and Ljubljana is a beautiful city for a short break.
Well done to all involved.

Great news well to everyone involved. Question to be asked now is are their any other airlines that might consider changing airports? I’d say unlikely TBH. There has been a persistent rumour for a few months now that Easyjet have been studying a 2 weekly MAN-LJU for next summer. A 1 weekly CRJ up against a 2 weekly A320, Adria likely walked before they were pushed. They are not in any financial state to be fighting off a large LCC on a 1 weekly quasi-charter.

Interestingly, Liverpool airport has not made a comment about this new service. Could be the airport is being cautious. May 2020 is a long way off and a lot could happen in this time.

The interesting aspect of this is that they are increasing from one flight a week to two. It could mean that the slots were not available at Manchester?
