Kaposvar is probably the second biggest general aviation field in Hungary and three hours drive South of Budapest - but well worth it if you like An-2s. I checked in at the office to get permission to wander around, no problem. The CFI of Cirrus Hungary (his name was Gyula) was responsible for purchasing 26 ex Swedish Air Force SAL Bulldogs so once he realized I was British a good chat followed. Some rare types here including a Cessna 337, a Kamov Ka-26, and an ex Royal Navy Hiller HT.2 with spray bars. Most of the An-2s were fitted with spray bars, no doubt to deal with the mosquitoes and other insects, some of which were quite large and scary with big stings on their tails.
