Having returned to my first night hotel, it was up early, breakfast, return the car and head back to the Airport. The Observation Terrace is on top of Terminal 2A
and gives great views over most of the airport, you can see the cargo, general aviation and most of the hangar areas. There is seating and a snack bar.
Photography is through plate glass so care is needed to avoid reflections, it also puts a green tint on your photos which requires colour correction.
Services include all the usual European airlines, plus Egyptair (Emb 170 & A220), Emirates and Qatar from the Middle East. Sichuan Airlines operate a B787 flight
on Fridays. As Wizz have no long haul equipment, LOT base two B787s here to operate flights to the Far East and USA. UPS operate a daily B757 freight flight.
Wizz are in abundance as you would expect, particularly the new A321NEOs HA-LVA, LVB, LVC, LVD, LVE, LVF and LVG were all noted.
Whoever mentioned it in an earlier Liverpool thread, Smartwings B737-8 OK-TVV does indeed have split scimitar winglets.
Hiding in the hangar area and only seen pre-boarding, N314ST B757-225PCF (30 years old - and ex G-OOOV)
........ plus a Tchad registered Emb 120 Brasilia (TT-DAG) minus propellors, and a withdrawn Cessna 500 (HA-JET).
...... the light was gone, snapped this while boarding HA-LWJ my chariot home.
