Another day, another drome!!! This was one of my faves purely on variety. I was looking forward to seeing the Fuji Dream Junglies, plus whatever air force stuff was about. We got here nice and early, and jolly pleased we did too. Bright and early a factory fresh F15 taxied out for a post maintenance test flight, and being a good neighbour he took off without afterburner, and shortly after him an F2 too!!!
From then on it was pretty much non stop all day, but who's moaning!!!
We did look at the observation deck, this is located on top of the old terminal, this has been turned into a large shopping mall and food court....they do a superb pizza on the ground floor too! But we ended up in the car park, right next to the fence, the locals are all along here too so dead easy to find.
Light was starting to fade as we packed up our gear, we'd just started to pull away when a guy in an SUV type vehicle pulled up and waved us down.....................to tell us some aircraft from Gifu were going to fly over.....so we quickly got the camera's out and grabbed some shots of them!! Dead nice your local spotters, always VERY helpful and willing to share info......if only it were the same back home!!!!!
