For some quirky/techy reason these online radar programmes seem to work better when operated with Mozilla Firefox as a browser and not Internet Explorer ? Maybe downloading that onto your mobile may help. New phones are using android technology which also be better but I have no experience of that yet.
Ebay is always a good start for a scanner, I managed to get a brand new in the box icom ic-r5 well under £100.

I have never been able to make Flightradar24 work in the past but since downloading Google Chrome it works brilliantly. It updates about every 20 seconds or so and some aircraft appear bang on time over my house while on approach. The RY444 was about a minute ahead of the screen image but the FR38WV was only seconds ahead. Regards Beemer.

If you have an Iphone ,ipod touch or ipad you can download a program called plane finder www.pinkfroot.com/home/ which is free and works brill on my ipod. there is also a programe called plane plotter which is not free, but is a far better prog, you can config it to send sms alerts to your mobile. The scanner have a look at Maplin in Liverpool city cent or maplin on line. Starways Here's an example of Planeplotter in action , using its unique Mlat facility to track just those a/c you won't normall see on virtual radars. Focus of attention in the animation is the Vulcan flying to and from Waddington on Sunday... i48.tinypic.com/2h2kzty.gifIf I was starting from scratch , I'd just pay 37 Euros for Planeplotter initially and use that rather than commit 400-500 Euros on a virtual radar box.

Cant find plane plotter. . . well I did but it does require a radar box . . .??www.coaa.co.uk/planeplotter.htmIts a standalone programme , no radar box needed It provides network data from hundreds of ground receivers across Europe , Australia and the USA. With a little patience , average PC knowledge and by following the Set Up Wizard you can be up and running in less than an hour , including registration. John

There's now a new virtual radar unit available which has been fully tested and approved for multilateration work... Here's last weeks release from the creator of the PGR We are pleased to announce that in support of the fabulous PlanePlotter mlat system new PGRs (Version 2.2 and above) are now fully approved as an Mlat Ground station.
Multilateration (Mlat) is a feature of the PlanePlotter network that uses precision timing data from Mlat capable receivers to calculate the position of aircraft that are not otherwise giving position information.
In order to use Mlat you will need: - a full version of PlanePlotter (purchase at http://www.planeplotter.com) - an internet connection with appropriate port forwarding - an Mlat capable ADS-B receiver (the mlat PlaneGadget-Radar V2.2) - enough other Mlat Ground Stations around you to provide sufficient data to fix the position of aircraft in your local area
We understand that some existing PGR users will wish to mlat too...so we will introduce in the near future a return to base upgrade option which we will price at our cost. Please contact us if you are interested in this option.
There is also a short guide to mlat and the PGR on our downloads page at www.radargadgets.com
Warm Regards Andy

I don't know of any site that gives the movements for Luton Airport. There is a yahoo group that has reports of movements at Luton.
