Are we losing another resident in the shape of G-BSBG T.6 Harvard that departed to Yeovil in company with N69745 Stinson Vultee? G-INFO says, Change of Registered Ownership, so it looks like we have lost it. G-BSBG T-6 Harvard V-77

The Harvard G-BSBG has been up for sale for some months. Shame it has had to leave Liverpool though. Will leave a hole in hangar No.4 where it resided.

G-AVCV Cessna 182 has been a resident at LJLA since 03-10-2002 and has now taken up a US registration on 18-04-2022 with the Southern Aircraft Consultancy. I don't know if it is just a change of ownership or it is moving on as the address shows Bergh Apton in Norfolk. Time will tell. N3492F Cessna 182 by Beemer328i, on Flickr

Time will tell. ....... Southern Aircraft Consultancy are one of several companies that provide aircraft owners from all over the UK the ability to have their aircraft registered in the USA. This allows them to take advantage of operating using FAA regulations pertaining to aircraft operation / licensing / maintenance. This is more for simplification of operation; there are no tax benefits that I am aware of, unlike registering aircraft in the Isle of Man / Jersey / Cayman Islands, etc. The ownership of the aircraft remains with the aircraft owner by means of an individual trust which is administered by Southern Aircraft Consultancy. SAC may have say 300 individual aircraft registered in 300 separate trusts, SAC do not own them. So this aircraft has been reverted to its original FAA registration when it was originally imported to the UK in 1966. The owner showing in the G-INFO database remains as the owner despite it showing a potential change of ownership. So fairly safe to assume that the aircraft would remain based at Speke. Hope this helps.

It would appear that G-KEAY MTO Sport Gyroplane has departed the GA. It is four years since I last saw it fly and has been based in the Keenair hangar since. It departed Thursday 21st July on the back of a low loader for where I don't know yet. G-KEAY MTO Sport by Beemer328i, on Flickr

All the interesting ones are going...... I just looked through AFORS dreaming of aircraft to fly and noticed that David Girling's Steen Skybolt G-RODC has just been advertised for sale. To make things even worse, the very rare 1940 Cessna Airmaster G-BTDE was also advertised in AFORS just recently. Sad to see.
