Thanks for that Alex, not a bad guess going just from the noise of its rotors! Also spotted the air ambulance going back to Blackpool through the overhead yesterday.
Anyway today
8/9/10
Dominie 'Cranwell 91' XS727 fly through from the west and an orbit in the overhead before going north to go low level through the Lake District

Couple of maybe's........... Did XW223 Puma HC1 RAF come in at all. Had a text it was in the 'area' today and the peson thought the RT had said inbound Woodvale ?. On checking SBS when I got home it shows up a few tmes today.
Also tonight ZJ992 Merlin HC3 RAF Departed Blackpool 19:08hrs, there was some chatter about contacting Woodvale on 121.00 but the controller said Woodvale was closed so to let him know when he was on finals (didn't actually here him say which field he would be on finals for !)
PS915 Spitfire did a fine flyby at Blackpool en route a flyby at Woodvale.

Finally got round to compiling a list of what was operating from Woodvale for the airshow, if I've missed anything out please let me know because I've done it by memory only after my sunday airshow plans were a washout.
Spitfire PS915 did a great little display over the airfield on friday, rather than the simple flypast I expected.
Operating out of Woodvale for the airshow were:
Merlin ZJ992 Puma XW223 (for fridays BoB event only I believe) Lynxes coded ZD285 + XZ730 Merlin HM1 ZH854 Tutor G-BYXN
Pitts Special G-PARG (RAF BF, dont think this displayed did it?) Tiger Moth G-AOIR Catalina G-PBYA Dragon Rapide G-AGTM Fox Moth G-ACEJ Tiger Moth G-ANFM AAC Auster XR244 AAC Beaver XP820 Spitfire G-ILDA Hurricane G-? Extra 300 x 4 (Blades) Pawnee G-ASIY Glider G-DJMC

Thanks for the list. As no one has posted a compete Southport Show log yet, a few comments:
Hurricane IIB BE505/L:XP (G-HHII) Spitfire LF.IX SM520/I:KJ (G-ILDA) The 702 Sqdn RN, Lynx team: Lynx HAS.3S XZ730/634, plus Lynx HMA.8 coded 643 (Lynx ZD285 on your list is an Army Lynx AH.7) RAF Merlin HC.3A ZJ992 should be coded 'AB' FAA Merlin HM.1 ZH854 noted on a post earlier as coded '84' of 824 Sqdn G-AOIR is correctly a Thruxton Jackeroo (which is a Tiger Moth modified with a canopy enclosing side-by-side seating)
Most of these comments found by cross-referencing with Markmai's photos posted on the 'Southport Air Display' thread!
Woodvale Warrior, if you want to incorporate this info into your original post on 'modify', I'll delete this post. Up to you.
