Thanks for that Biggles,
I have bought FlightRadar24 Pro and it's working great.
I went into the menu as you said and selected the AR function and my camera opens up showing the heading in the corner, FANTASTIC PEACE OF KIT.
All i need now is BLUE SKY.
Many Thanks
Phil

To the old fogey from Huyton, The application only costs £2.99 and you do not point it at the sky on the HTC Wildfire. By using the GPS set up, the phone knows where you are and displays a map with nearby aircraft displayed thereon. You just tap on the symbol to display the reg and route. Another tap brings up a picture and aircraft details, etc. shuttleman

I have just dowloaded and tried out Flightradar24 Pro. Not a patch on PlaneFinder. With FR24, despite repeated attempts to get a registration to show on various aircraft, only once did it work. With PF, every attempt works. shuttleman

Shuttleman. You won`t get a registration number showing on the free version of FR only a flight number for eg.RYR444.
Only when the Pro version is downloaded does all the flight detail become visible on a new page when you click on the icon above the aircraft you wish to ID.
Planfinder full version has the bonus of showing a picture of the aircraft you wish to ID together with the flight info. I have had both APP`s since they came on the market for android phones starting with the free versions which I still have. I also know from working with the writer if the PF App there are some problems which he is working on and an upgrade is due soon and all who have the pro version will be notified by email.

The new Beta version of FlightRadar24 should work fine on most mobiles, it's the full web version. It works on Opera Mobile Browser very well, Here's the download link: www.opera.com/mobile/download/versions/When you first load the page the map and page platform take about a minute to load up, after that it takes a bit time to get used to, but it's worth the effort. The zoom control works ok, a touch slow but it is a mobile. The pan control is a bit hit and miss, but it does work. When you want to know what the callsign is, just put the cursor near the aircraft and it comes up instantly. If you want to select an aircraft put the cursor near it and then click on it, you will have to wait about 2 seconds and it will turn red, you can then view the aircraft details. Photo's of aircraft show and all aircraft details, also it's free. Here's the link for the Beta version: beta.flightradar24.com Mike

That's correct Biggles, i was at the airport today only for a short while and is used FlightRadar24 Pro on my phone and was able to see 2 aircraft arriving and get the registrations before they actually landed along with the rest of the aircraft and flight details. Superb application to have along with Plane Finder. Phil
