Eagled eyed readers should have spotted that the photo of the Wren 460 was not taken at Liverpool - my apologies. It was taken at the same location as this shot:  No prizes for guessing. |

With regards to richardheywoods remarks about working in the tower,i myself was working on the apron maybe even on the Catair connie offloading Ford motor parts,small world.

I was at Birmingham from Nov 1967 to Nov 1968 then at Liverpool until Dec 1970 when posted to RAF Watton. Possibly some readers may recall me as a transient, spotty yoof.. Watton sounds a bad posting but Mildenhall and Lakenheath were just down the road. I haven't even started scanning those yet but here's one at random. ;D  |
