Very good link, brought back a lot of memories as a secondman going from Ellesmere Port down to Birkenhead Docks recognise some of the faces just a bit before my time only started in 88.

Nice! Brought back many memories. I used to love watching the LMS/BR EMU's as a kid. After visiting Lewis's and before catching the (steam train) train home to Mersey Road I'd insist on dragging the rest of the family to the stairway to the underground at Central so I could see them. In those days they were in BR green but what a marvelous sight and sound they were. And yes, if we were up that way they'd get dragged into Exchange station to see the northern line ones aswell.

Memories for me are Point Duty in the Bin at Duke Street only once though as a relief for the regular Officer, stuff getting nicked from row in row of Bonded Rail wagons, and the huge rail parcel depot probably located near to the Ferry Terminal now and of course the long cattle run along the sea wall nearly.

I'm not old enough to remember any of the pictures but I always wanted to see the old railway in action, I always think about it when I pass there. Thanks for sharing.
