Noted westbound on the M56 just before the M53 junction at 1220 today was a steam locomotive,possibly named "Britannia",aboard a low-loader. Sorry for the lack of confirmed detail but I was driving alone and overtook the transport and its escort fairly quickly.

The loco was on its way to The Llangollen Railway, For the gala Saturday 21st April Steel, Steam & Stars III It’s the final countdown to the ‘Steel, Steam & Stars III’ nine-day
‘Supergala’ at Llangollen from April 21st - 29th
As for the royal train it took place on 24 January 2012.

klm1041 thanks for the update! As much as I enjoy 'steam', news regarding British 'steam' is a bit scarce out here on the Texas plains!
