Tried to get into the Forum through the direct page on the internet but found it had disappeared. Got in eventually through the main NWAN page. Is there something wrong with the old entry method or has the entry criteria changed?

........... and now to answer my own question; I found it much further down the index page. Seems that BT/Yahoo have been moving things about - or is just to wake up complacent old devils like me?

Logging in to NWAN on my laptop is quick and easy , as the programme responds to "remember me". However , despite repeatedly ticking the box , this does not work on my phone. Thus I have to type in my user name and password every time , which can render the planned message too late to be useful. Does anybody know why this happens , and if there is any way to fix it ?

I'm not an expert but make sure the option for accepting cookies is on in your security settings, and if you're using the android browser that 'enable secret' is not activated. That's all I can think of, hope it helps!

Thanks Highfly , I'm a bit of a technophobe , and not Android equipped , but I will check the phone settings for anything that might help.

Are the NWAN archives still available? Looks like NWAN.co.uk website is no longer accesible?
Admin: The nwan.co.uk website was shut down by the Administrator in July 2014. His choice and entirely out of the control of the current Moderators of NWAN Forum. A huge amount of very good material was was lost, including all the Liverpool Airport Visiting Aircraft Movements for 2009 to June 2014.

ODD EVENTS ON SUNDAY 30th JULY THAT ADMIN IS TRYING TO UNDERSTANDAnyone out there explain why on a Sunday afternoon, there are around 25 applications for membership of the Forum being submitted. Normally run at around 1 to 3 per week. There does not seem to be any one section that is being heavily visited. I assume that a thread has been linked to somewhere, but it is difficult to see what topic has drawn in a record number of membership applications all at once. Anyone any ideas? Have any members, looking to just view NWAN as a non-member (ie without automatic signing in) had difficulty viewing today? 6pm Sunday 30th July 2023. ISSUE NOW SOLVED, THANK YOU. We had a minor breech of site security during the past week, when someone posted on the IoM section without first becoming a member. A breech that in the past led to annoying 'non-aviation' rants and advertising posts. Seems we 'over sealed' NWAN forum, so prevented outsiders from visiting as well. All sorted now. Thanks for your patience and e-mails.
