Oh dear the crew member i was talking must not know what type of ship he is sailing on. Not much chance of him making an officer then.

Maybe they've re-invented the name them, based on the original ship: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_shipCertainly they were regularly seen in the Mersey until the mid-60s. The vessel in your pictures is far more attractive than the very utilitarian design of its predecessor, though.
