With reference to Ste-t's reply posted while I was researching the above information, for the record TA634 left Speke for London and the Mosquito Museum on 29th September 1970. Super Constellations F-BGNG and F-BRNH were regular visitors during summer of 1970 only. Thanks Brian. It was a couple of hours after I wrote that I remembered TA634 departed in 1970. Those were the days when we actually got a summer, seem to recall it being a scorcher, when NG came in. 43 years ago but still remember it like it was only yesterday. Unlike the Cambrian Viscounts it had a duck egg blue cockpit and getting to it via the Bedford van steps was a daunting experience in itself. Will never forget the Mosquito either, it wasn't until I came across this site (NWAN) that I found that that was the reg. I had until then had it in my mind that it was HJ614 and was unique in that it had two, one on each side. Can't remember the other and it may well have been TA634 but that doesn't ring any bells. Samba: Is that with BA from Heathrow? If it is, you will probably know my brothers sister in law. She's been pushing one of those on 747's for twenty odd years now - still loves it.

When Liverpool's Mosquito TT.35 TA634/G-AWJV was used in 1968, starring during the filming of "Mosquito Squadron" it acquired fictitous markings, along with a 'solid' looking nose and 'canon' to look like a Mk.NF.VI. When it returned to Speke it had acquired a camouflage paint job, coded HT-G and wearing false serial HJ896. A look around my 'paper' sources, and I find no reference to 'HJ614' as a false serial on TA634 at Liverpool though. For more on Liverpool's Mosquito TA634, and a history of the aircraft, link to a thread: www.derbosoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=history&action=display&thread=2946For an article and photos of Mosquitos at Speke in the late 50s, then the next FoLA '09/27' Summer 2013 when distributed in May (?), could well be of interest.
