JLA Releases ‘myLJLA' Smart Phone App
Today sees Liverpool John Lennon Airport launch what its mobile commerce developer claims to be the world's first fully integrated airport smartphone app called ‘myLJLA'.
This new application is designed for multiple Apple and Android devices. However unlike other airport apps, it will not only provide passengers with the usual real time flight and airport facilities information, it will be unique in allowing passengers to pay for car parking, fast track through to the departure lounge, premium lounge access and a growing range of other products and services, through the app's secure m:Cypher payment system.
As the Airport's official app, it also provides real-time information of flights and schedules, shopping, car parking and airport facilities at the customer's fingertips and has games, offers, social networking, twitter feed and live links to the airport's information.
The app is easily downloadable onto devices such as iPhones and Androids with links provided on the Liverpool John Lennon Airport website www.liverpoolairport.com .
Katie Elliott, Head of Marketing at Peel Airports commented, "The Liverpool John Lennon Airport app will allow our passengers to begin their travel experience from the minute they book and will keep them fully-informed wherever they are. It's part of our strategy to grow our business in partnership with the passengers and the airlines and for us to become a leader in e-commerce."
The app has been developed by airport U, a specialist airport mCommerce development company.
Airport U Director Ian Lowden added, "We believe this app is a major breakthrough because it has better functionality than any other and it looks great. We developed it in partnership with Liverpool John Lennon Airport and we feel the passion and personality of the airport shines through it."
