Confirmed CAA scheduled flight stats for Liverpool in October 2011.
Pax total - 487575 (2011), 481819 (2010), +1% (diff)
Number of available seats by airline - EZY 282528, FR 295218, KLM 15280, Wizz 14400, flyBE 31824, total 639250
Number of routes served - 62 (2011), 65 (2010), -5% (diff)
Breakdown of number of routes served by airline - EZY 26, FR 41, KLM 1, Wizz 3, flyBE 2
Number of flights scheduled - 4028
Average load factor for all flights - 76%
Average pax loading per flight - 121
Note, I have used flightstats.com.
The Belfast City route figures are still skewed with having the effect of changing from FR 738's to the flyBE Dash's. The BHD route has now finished.

Hi LPL.
I know I don't always agree with everything written here, I would just like to say your monthly pax figure breakdowns are fantastic, thorough and very informative. Well done.
Just one thing I want to check is the original figure in post 1, I want to make sure Im eaither not reading it correctly or its a small error.
It says the 2011 total is 487575 but 2010 was 488819 but still +1%? Is this the wrong way round or is LPL actually down by 1224 pax?
Regards.

You are right, I did it on purpose (not) to see if anyone was taking notice. It was me not copying over the figures correctly.

Despite the gloom and doom we still are making progress-the glass can still be half full and when I think of the balcony days that is a good half with more destinations than we had ever dreamed about.
You never know next year could be the year our new owners come to the party--dafter things have happened.--and O'Leary can fall out with anyone not just us.
ps £ exists on this keyboard but °/. is the nearest thing to a percentage. Great stats--wish they were even better.

ISLE OF MAN 60% 56
Re the above.
Flybe Q400 capacity is 78. Easyjet A319 capacity is 156
Presumably the 56 is the average across all flights? Is the 60% the average load factor across all flights?
Thankyou!

For October flyBE had 17784 available seats (on 228 flights). EZY had 8424 available seats (on 54 flights).
That gives a total 26208 available seats on 282 flights.
A total of 15845 pax flew the route, giving a load factor across all flights of 15845/26208=60%.

I find the Madrid figures very intriguing (in a good way).
To see the figures up 23% in the face of 16 weekly flights with 3 carriers at MAN (including the very same carrier serving LPL-MAD) is very interesting.
It was mooted that a fair amount of the LPL-MAD pax originated in the Manchester area, so, to see that the LPL route is holding its own and growing is encouraging, but also shows how strong the North West market to Madrid actually is.

A question about the above.
Do readers of this thread see the above in some sort of readable orderly columns?
I do, but read the above yesterday on another PC that ran IE6 and the above is all over the show.
