Lucky to get a mention but all publicity is good publicity.

Slightly odd advice considering recent Wizzair's growth at JLA has come about through their kicking Blue Air in the nether regions.

The difference in the snapshot is around 700 down in 2019 for the combined total for both carriers.
It must be also noted that it wasnt Wizz's actions that resulted in the cut back in Blue Airs based LPL aircraft, they have cut back its based aircraft throughout its network.

I am pretty sure that Wizz have more clout and are a lot more established than Blue air, although it was sad to see them up base, they are still doing pretty well on Bucharest and Bacau and still flying into Liverpool.

Nothing at all to do with the loss of the based aircraft: loss of Blue Air to Rome, Alicante, Malaga are a different issue, as 'LPL' states.
However, WizzAir trod firmly on Blue Air's toes in October 2018 with the simultaneous commencement of three routes from Liverpool to Blue Air's home-base country of Romania. Wizzair started routes to Bucharest, Cluj Napoca and Iasi, two of which placed WizzAir in direct competition with Blue Air. Blue responded by staying on Bucharest, often using smaller size aircraft, but immediately withdrew from Cluj Napoca. On the other route, to Bacau, Blue Air remain the sole operator.
Who will do best on routes from JLA to Eastern European States is an entirely different question again, and as the commencement of flights to Varna by WizzAir in July 2019 shows, there is great potential in the region for completely new routes not currently being operated by any operator from Liverpool.

Just returned from using the new Varna service. Excellent loadings. Perhaps 80-85 percent outbound and 95 percent plus on return (I could only see 2 empty seats at the rear half of the aircraft).

Great to see steady increases again from Wizzair. Three A321s on a Tuesday and Saturday too! Perhaps we will get A321neo visiting, Wizz placed a huge order for 184 of them, there are 6 in service so far and 178 on the production line. They have orders for 20 of the "game changer aircraft" A321neo XLR as well. Great news for LJLA.

Its reported on the ch aviation site that Wizz air along with a couple of others are interested in the Thomas Cook slots at Manchester Gatwick. Don't want to start a big debate about Wizz pulling services from Lpl. Also its reported on the BBC that Ryanair are looking to relocate crew out of Manchester to other European bases.

I read the CH-Aviation post, but unless I read it incorrectly, I thought it said Wizz were after LGW slots. They were mentioned in relation to LTN also.
