It would be nice to see Wizz take over some of routes Easyjet has left behind for 2022.

Wizz Air has suspended Warsaw Chopin until 4th December and Gdansk until 13th December.
With all the other route suspensions, this leaves Bucharest as the sole operating route.
The good news, is that when Gdansk resumes it is increased from 2 to 3 per week.

Wizz look to be suspending flying on most routes after the first week of January with only Bucharest surviving to run throughout. All other routes have a few operations over the Xmas period then restarting in March with a couple of flights in February.

I wonder what is going on here? Lack of aeroplanes/Crew ? Lack of Passengers ? How are other airports affected?

Another option in the list could be over optimistic estimates as to how many people would be travelling across Europe for leisure or business this winter, especially now that the number of 'lock downs' across Europe is increasing again. In terms of destinations from Liverpool, Wizzair was well in advance of Ryanair and easyJet in restoring the percentage of routes served by the end of the summer season.
On the hint there of issues facing airlines regarding a lack of crews, I do hope that easyJet in particular have that problem in hand as their flight programme at JLA jumps massively at the very end of March 2022.

I suspect with what’s going on in Europe a lot of flight programmes will be scaled back or canx
That’s before any impact of this new African variant
