I've always wondered about the Ryanair attraction to Manchester, their philosophy has always been get them on then get them off as quickly as possible get it back in the air, and yet they at the moment seem to be bailing out of an airport that turns them round and gets them out onto a runway few hundred yards to either holding point, to an airport were runway holding points are miles away crossing an other runway it goes against their get it turned round philosophy, unless they get preferential rates that makes it worth while, but one wonders how happy other low cost and other operators would be that Ryanair have preferential rates.

The airport should do what the 'other' airport did last year (?) and remind its locals that it was not far short of local treason to fly from anywhere other than your airport.

Whilst looking for something else on line, I was please to see Wizz sponsoring a prize in the Telegraph Travel section - two return tickets to Gdansk listing Liverpool as one of the options for the UK departure points. Nice bit of advertising!

We can now add another frequency increase to that list... Wizzair have added a 6th aircraft to their Gdansk base, this means that from 24th June 2015, there will be 4 flights instead of 3 to Liverpool. wizzair.com/en-GB/about_us/news/wizzen293

I see Doncaster is up to ten routes now with Wizz. Is Liverpool missing a trick here considering they are part of the same airport group?
