the new BT internet is great it’s super quick and free, all of my work colleagues are made up with it.
there was some big shot men in the airport today around 10 of them being shown around. then on my lunch break they were discussing the airport, dunno if they are an airport or an airline or a shop retailer maybe dunno but it sounded interesting to listen in on.

Posts have been deleted by Admin this morning as the information, while potential very welcome news, is clearly third hand, speculative and from the Airport's management viewpoint highly confidential at this time, possibly to the point of being commercially prejudicial to the outcome, as negotiations are still only in the early stages. Hopefully in due course, likely several months in the future yet, there will be a positive announcement, but it is not a forgone conclusion, there are many political, economic and commercial factors at play during the next few months.
Unfortunately forum such as ours are monitored by the Press, and a well-intended comment can quickly become headline news much to the embarrassment of ourselves (if quoted as the source), Airport management and the parties they are in negotiation with. Just look at what happened to an off-the-cuff speculative comment at a conference regarding talks with Lufthansa only a few weeks ago, or the Press excitement stirred up by a facebook alert regarding an easyJet A.319 having an (erroneous) 'on apron' sqwark 7700 emergency on the apron at JLA in the past week or so.

Thank you Viscount and thanks to other posters who may have had posts deleted for your forbearance, sometimes it's better to err on the side of caution.

Airbus1878, I get your sentiment but it's sometimes wise to consider the bigger picture.

'Airbus 1878', you are absolutely correct, this is a forum; however you conveniently omitted the word 'responsible' before forum.
It has always been stated that we are here for a friendly exchange of factual information, sharing images and aviation nostalgia. Discussion around speculation is not approved of, however is often tolerated unless it gets repetitive or argumentative; but permitting the sharing of what is essentially commercially confidential and sensitive information about a deal that is not yet 'done' is highly irresponsible.
No members today have been banned, warned or even reprimanded, it is simply a call by Admin that to permit commercially sensitive information into the public domain before the deal is signed, would be both premature, irresponsible and possibly even detrimental to the outcome of negotiations.
On most forums that I frequent, decisions are made by admin/moderators without any explanation or justification to the membership or indeed often even to the members involved. I like to think we do business here more openly, but that does not mean we won't take action when we feel action is required.
Admin.

Not sure if this post should be in the Terminal/Airport Developments or Wizzair news.
This afternoon I passed through the airport. There was a large advertisement for Wizzair showcasing their destinations from Liverpool. However, there were two chairs obscuring Budapest, Varna and the Romanian destinations.
If the chairs were moved slightly to the left then the full destination portfolio could be seen!
I gave taken a picture but not sure how to upload here.

I received a flyer through the post yesterday from Liverpool Airport which I thought was a decent piece of work.
Very clear map showing the 70-odd destinations you can fly to from the airport and an offer to save 25% on parking.
If this mailshot is going to all households across the region, I think it's a positive step.

Oslo charters are so frequent it seems I wonder if this a route prime for being scheduled again as it once was. Im sure Wideroe must know how regularly Enter Air are popping up on this run.

I don't know if this is old news which has been posted before, but I've just read this article which talks about a 'trackless tram system' for the new knowledge quarter with the possibility of running the line through to Liverpool Airport, linking it with the city centre. I'm sure there will be others on here far more knowledgeable about this. www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/tram-plan-could-expand-include-17696590Kev
