One of the billboards was damaged last week by the strong winds and still hasn’t been fixed just before the taxi rank if you were walking up to the terminal. staff and passengers coming from the staff car park and free zone have to cross the grass and walk into the road into the oncoming buses and enter the terminal through the middle door by the vending machine and ABM special assistance desk. They made a little walk way with barriers taxi rank, but they have all blown day last night from the strong winds and haven’t been put back up again either.
It is really really not a good look for the airport. the airport needs to get these problems mended ASAP. get the de ice trucks working and mend the parts of the terminal were your passengers and staff walk.

I doubt they own the billboard so while it’s on their land it’s not their property. You would hope though they are pushing the billboard owner to sort it out.
And again, the de-icing rigs aren’t the airport’s.

Swissport let so many staff go during lock down they are now reaping the consequences. They have problems with check-in and handling and are trying to recruit quickly but it takes a while to get competent staff trained.

They have problems with check-in and handling and are trying to recruit quickly but it takes a while to get competent staff trained. davel you have hit the "nail on the head",to train staff to do the jobs the safe way takes about 1 week in the classroom another week on the eqipment then they are "let loose" on the ramp or landside with all that entails,they get the training but there is nothing like experience on the job and that takes TIME,am i glad i'm not working out there now,the next busy time is coming up is a 2 week period over Christmas and New Year,don't panic

They have problems with check-in and handling and are trying to recruit quickly but it takes a while to get competent staff trained. so true if anyone’s flying with easyjet in the next few weeks you will see my alone on desk 30 or 31 checking in about 3 planes full of people by myself it’s absolutely ridiculous. i believe swissport are recruiting for passenger services agent but who knows when they will start. there are 2 teams as well at LPL Easyjet and Mainline we have it simple at easy, Mainline have to hot desk from one desk to another some days you see they check a fair few FR passengers in, then jump off and check in the loganair, then jump off and go back to Ryanair or upto the Wizzair desks

happy new year all NWAN members, as I sit here at 0645 shattered on a 10hr 0400-1400 quiet shift why am I in and do I want this job haha hopefully 2022 brings LPL new routes and hopefully passengers numbers back on the rise and heading up to the 5m mark.
