Noticed that on Easyjet winter schedule launched today that there are no flights from Liverpool to either Majorca or Nice in November, December or January but flights to these destinations are operating from Manchester. Other popular Easyjet routes from Liverpool may also be subject to the same treatment. The App has flights to Majorca throughout November.

Hi folks, can anyone confirm the date Easyjet started Belfast International, as I seem to recall flying with FOLA in September 1999 ? Last week, LJLA had its 7 millionth passenger travelling between Liverpool and Belfast International Airport since the start of 2007. 🎰 Flights between Liverpool and Belfast International are operated up to 34 times a week, and you can book here 👉 ljla.uk/3FhNW8p

At the risk of 'thread drift', the FoLA Northern Ireland visit was 'masterminded' by Keith Hardwick, a day-return visit on 11th September 1999. EZY 631 morning outbound on Boeing 737-375 G-EZYF and evening back on EZY 636 flown by the same aircraft. Can recall a coach trip out to the Giant's Causeway on a cold, somewhat breezy day with heavy showers, on a coach that seriously leaked due to ill-fitting replacement window repairs. Other than passing through areas of Belfast, not that long before devastated by the 'troubles' passing whole wall murals, don't recall where else we stopped apart from the Giant's Causeway. But then, remarkably, it was close-on to 25 years ago! That year I did 14 consecutive flights (on 8 different a/c) with EasyJet! Low fares and great out & return timings: Geneva day-return, Barcelona for one night, Geneva for two nights, Belfast FoLA day-return, Nice day-return, and 2 x Luton day-returns. Flying and passing through airports twice in a day was less hassle than it is today. EasyJets's Boeing 737-300 G-EZYF landing 27 a few days earlier, 8th September 1999. Digitally scanned from a colour print. EasyJet are now so closely linked with the Airbus A.319/320/321 family, it is easily overlooked that their fleet and reputation was built up initially solely with second-hand and later new-build, Boeing 737-300s and NextGen 737-700s.

Just spotted on Southampton FB page that EasyJet have installed self checkin machines for bags, they have only recently launched flights there and it isn’t a base, I wondered if this is likely to happen at Liverpool?

The reason why Jet2 self check-in had no queues was because the last Jet2 flight of the day was well on its way to Lanzarote.

Suspect Bulldog might have been describing his experience in Tenerife? We had a similar issue when returning from Lanzarote in March. Four EZY/EJU flights checking in at four desks. Took us over 50 minutes to get to the front of the queue.

We’ve been told no by our station managers we won’t have self service kiosks. I am personally not so sure now as we will have 7 first wave departures. You can’t tell me if people have the option to check themselves in they wouldn’t do it?
Also depends if we have all 10 check in desks open and working.

Think if they want them then the offices on the terminal front wall would have to be moved to create the space needed.

Jet2 employ their own staff for check-in and the CEO said to me on launch we take responsibility for our passengers other airlines don't.
