Well said Carmedic. I stopped reading this part of the forum well before it was deleted. But since it came back I keep dipping in and out, but now I remember why I stopped reading Why don't the 2 main posters just swap e-mails and get on with it, at lest then we dont have to read through it all just in case we find some 'Easyjet Route News' as the thread is intended. Very boring Ian Not emails, but I have received PMs fairly recently making threats. Maybe its me, but I dont take too kindly to being threatened.

Well.................
Despite a considered and polite request for the point scoring and rather pointless arguments to stop. In 24 hours a further 7 posts on this worn out topic. I'm not worried as to who has 'won', 'lost', scored most points, had the last word, produced the most "facts" - the fact is I'm tired of a display of behaviour which is not welcome on this information exchanging forum.
Enough is enough. Please NO MORE comment, quotes, or statements on this topic. LPL please just let it go, so that the vast majority of the over 1,200 visits per day made to this forum can be made to seek information etc and not find just yet another raft of 'quote posts' scoring points on a discussion that won't change a thing, as it is directed to the wrong audience.
These are the last words I wish to say on the subject. Bear in mind that this thread is titled "EasyJet News" - there has been no "news" posted now for well over a side of entries.
This is my third appeal for cessation of hostilities now, on a thread where I should never have need to make such posts! ....... I'm off to bed, and hope to find NO further posts of any sort that prolong this worn-out discussion appearing. LPL may not take quietly to being threatened, but my next move will be to delete any subsequent and past posts on this topic (whatever it was when it all 'kicked-off'). A 'big brother' action I don't look forward to having to impose.
A Site Administrator.

I have just returned from holiday wanting to know if there has been any easyJet route news. I have read through five pages and there was none. Can we just post according to the title of the thread please.

It has been mentioned before, but I wonder if Jet2 could be attracted to LPL, with all the activity FR and EZY are doing at MAN, they may like to expand elsewhere

Hope this is in the right area to post this. Does this make sense? I was just checking a short break. Going to Malaga from Manchester on 15 Nov & returning on 19 Nov with Monarch is £560.98 return (£282.99 & 277.99). easyJet, Liverpool to Malaga on the same dates & similar flight times is £153!!!!!
Why would anyone pay £400 more for the same journey when they could have travelled only 30 mins more to save it. Do some pax out there know we exist?
I think the word Budget Airline is a smoke screen. I bet if BA were still going to Malaga from Manchester that £560 would have got you Business Class!

That piece in the post makes interesting reading. Cyprus being discussed but logistics are in the way. I suppose we, or I don't think or understand about positioning of aircraft. The post says "JLA owner, Toronto-based Vantage Airport Group, operates 18 airports around the world, including Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus, and he said: “We are working with Ryanair and Easyjet on Cyprus routes out of Liverpool. But it is a five- hour flight and that has logistical and economic factors that are tough to work out.”
That is an interesting thought. A Cyprus flight will mean an aircraft is gone for 12 hours. Add in crew factors etc it isn't something you can easily do when the airport and airlines are doing the same from Manchester, so why tie up a plane for so long when you can possibly do 2 or 3 short haul flights in that time. Hope I make sense..

But as the owners of Paphos and Larnaca also own Liverpool they can 'negotiate' bigger discounts etc to the likes of EZY and FR to start those much needed routes.
Also dont forget that Cyrpus has a FR base as well.

Traditional load reports from me - outbound to Arrecife on 8th November just a couple of seats free, return on 15th November completely full. Average across the two flights circa 99 per cent which looks very good in mid November. Well handled at Liverpool on return, both Border and Baggage handling the volumes of more than one flight quickly.

Can anyone confirm how the winter 12/13 schedule compares to last winter in terms of flights operated and seats offered per week? I think this thread started after the analysis had been done. TIA

Thanks LPL. Slightly down but given average load factors there could actually be very little reduction in EZY pax through the winter, which is some relief I suppose.

Looking at the schedules for the peak summer in 2013, it looks like they have yet to reveal the full timetable as there are gaps in them. On Mondays and Fridays there is space to fit a return rotation of around 1hr50mins each way. On Thursdays and Sundays they can fit a return of around 1hr15mins each way. There is also room to fit a return on Tuesday evenings as one aircraft finished early @2040. ...
